About Our School

We are Alabama School of Nail Technology & Cosmetology

We’re a private educational institution approved to operate by the Alabama Board of Cosmetology and the Alabama Board of Post Secondary Education. Our goal is to provide students with knowledge, experience, and mentorship while pursuing a certificate in esthetics, cosmetology and nail technology. With dedicated instructors and two Alabama locations, we’re here to help you start your journey in the beauty industry.

Our History

Teri Lancaster opened the Alabama School of Nail Technology & Cosmetology in 2011 after running her successful salon in Jackson for nearly two decades. She opened the Jackson campus at 202 Commerce Street, where it’s still located today. In 2017, the school purchased the building next door, enabling it to double its floor space and host more students and classes. Our Saraland location opened, becoming the second campus for the school.

Alabama School of Nail Technology & Cosmetology has welcomed hundreds of students over the years, helping them build a skill set they can use to launch their careers. We can’t wait to welcome many more students into our Cosmetology and Nail Technology programs.

We love beauty. We know the power of feeling good about how you look and how that feeling can transform you on the inside. We also know that learning modern techniques for caring for skin, hair, and nails can help set you up for success in the future. We dedicate our school to sharing and promoting the safest modern techniques in esthetics, cosmetology and nail technology. Our goal is to prepare you to sit for your Alabama State Board exam and give you the skills you’ll need to pursue entry-level positions in salons and spas in Alabama and beyond. Your advancement in the industry will depend on your own efforts, but we’ll help ensure you have a solid foundation to build on.

What programs do you offer?

We offer comprehensive training in esthetics, cosmetology and nail technology. Our courses can be completed in as little as 23 weeks and cover topics such as salon management, safety, sanitation, nail art, hairstyling, hair shaping, skin care, waxing and more. Do you offer job placement?

We cannot guarantee job placement due to our programs. However, we work closely with many local salons and spas to make students aware of new employment opportunities as they arise.
