Cosmetology and Nail Tech Course Funding Options

Enrolling in a cosmetology or nail technology course is an investment in your future. With the skills you learn at Alabama School of Nail Technology & Cosmetology, you’ll have the knowledge and experience needed to sit for the State Board exam and open the door to future opportunities in the beauty industry. Don’t let the cost of these programs prevent you from experiencing that success! Many excellent funding options are available to help you pay for your beauty industry education.

  • Federal Student Aid: The FAFSA® is a free application that can help determine how much money you and your family could contribute toward your education and how much you may be eligible for in federal student aid. Every student can fill out this form, and it’s a good idea to fill one out even if you don’t think you’ll be eligible.
  • Grants: Grants are money given to you for your education that you won’t have to pay back. Grants usually come from the government at either a state or federal level.
  • Scholarships: Scholarships are money you get for your education that you won’t have to pay back, often from private parties, companies, and charitable organizations. Each scholarship will have eligibility requirements, such as studying a specific topic, getting a high GPA, or even playing a particular sport. There are thousands of scholarships, and it’s a good idea to research, so you know which you may apply for.
  • Loans: You can borrow money to pay for your education. Public lenders include the Department of Education, and private companies can consist of banks, credit card companies, and credit unions. Most educational loans require you to start making repayments on the borrowed amount six months after you leave school.

There are many options to help make your tuition more affordable. Contact our team if you need more ideas or have questions about paying for your cosmetology or nail technology training.

Our Saraland location is currently awaiting accreditation, so financial aid opportunities may differ from our Jackson location. However, we work with TFC to help make paying for your beauty school education possible.
